ACC BUSINESS TO OFFER PRIVATE NETWORK TRANSPORT TO ENABLE HIGH-PERFORMANCE VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORKS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ACC Business today announced the addition of Private Network Transport (PNT) Service to its portfolio of essential communications services.

PNT gives customers a network-based, fully meshed IP Virtual Private Network (VPN) with any-to-any connectivity using only a single connection at each site.  PNT utilizes MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology to provide security, performance, reliability and Class of Service (CoS) features.

PNT with CoS features will be available to customers in the 48 continental United States and Hawaii through ACC Business’ authorized agents in September 2005.

Private Network Transport (PNT): PNT gives customers an IP VPN, which provides a higher level of security for sensitive data between their sites. By adding Managed Internet Service to a single PNT location, customers can enable their entire PNT network with Internet access.

Class Of Service (CoS): CoS is a key feature of PNT, allowing customers to prioritize their traffic, such as voice over IP, video and other time-sensitive applications, to meet today’s demanding networking needs.  It gives customers a high performance network and better control over their networking needs.
