JOHN D. BAKER VOTED PHONE+ CHANNEL EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR FINALIST

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – -- PHONE+ magazine, a monthly publication of Virgo Publishing LLC for the telecommunications indirect sales channel, is pleased to announce that John D. Baker has been selected as a Channel Executive of the Year finalist. The nine finalists and Channel Executive of the Year winner were honored during the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, March 10-12, in Las Vegas. In addition, Baker will be featured as a finalist in the April issue of PHONE+.

Baker has served as President and CEO of ACC Business since June 2001. He joined the company in 1996 and has held positions as VP of Marketing and VP of Operations. A native of Rochester, NY, Baker earned a BA in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and completed post graduate work at Columbia Business School.

Under Baker’s management, ACC Business has won several awards as a channel partner and achieved double-digit, top-line revenue growth as an AT&T business unit.

PHONE+ solicited nominations from channel partners for this honor. To be eligible, a nominee must have been the top person in the company’s channel operations – at the executive level of vice president or higher – at a telecom vendor (network operator/service provider/manufacturer). Channel partners were then asked to vote for the Channel Executive of the Year based on nominees’ leadership, longevity, innovation and contribution to the indirect channel. After receiving more than 30 nominations and more than 500 valid channel partner votes, 10 finalists emerged for the Channel Executive of the Year 2008.
